The well-known paraglider pilot Pál Takáts was in Munich not to report on his participation in this year's X-Alps, but to give a talk on acro flying. The lecture was organized by the Bodenlos board, many thanks for this. The event took place in the Wirtshaus zum Isartal. The following are excerpts from my transcript of the lecture, without any claim to completeness.
AustroControl offers an interactive, free online map. However, the help is very simple, so in this article I try to give a short introduction with the most important information for us paragliders.
The fact that many paraglider pilots are only interested in aviation law, which is actually an important topic in aviation, only occasionally and often only to prepare for exams, should be changed, thought Hans Lang. He was with us in Munich at the bodenlos e.V. to bring the topic closer to us.
Every paraglider should be aware that power lines, compared to other ropes (e.g. material rope way), harbor additional dangers, namely electric shocks. In this article, you will find out why an accident pilot who is in contact with an overhead power line should not be helped immediately and what else needs to be considered in the event of an electrical accident.
