Especially with complex airspace structures, such as those found around airports, it can be very nerve-wracking trying to read and understand the ICAO chart. Ultimately, it's also a question of safety; it can happen very quickly that you overlook an airspace. Furthermore, it is not always easy to visualise the airspaces in three-dimensional space.

Acro pilots have special requirements for their favourite flying area. Getting up quickly, the highest possible working height, acro over water would not be bad either, to name just a few of the pilots' wishes. Gabi Fonck has taken the trouble to compile a table of acro paragliding areas that more or less fulfil these special requirements.

The Karwendel Triangle - the classic near Munich to fly a 100 km triangle according to FAI rules from Brauneck. I myself have tried it 3 times, but unfortunately have failed early so far. I hope, with good planning, that it will be in 2023.
The flight from the Wallberg, close to the lake Tegernseee, to Koessen is a challenge for XC beginners, or pilots like me which are new in this area. I guess the key point is to cross the Inntal valley, but I think on a good thermal day the task is manageable.
