Who among us has not wondered about the strange behaviour of fellow pilots at the launch site? Perhaps or certainly most of us have suffered from anxiety at the launch site. In his article Angst (in German), Ulrich Prinz explains the symptoms and how they can be overcome.
On unusual routes through the Piave Valley / Bassano (Part 1)
Unfortunately, good cross-country flight videos with even better commentary are far too rare. One person who does this very well is Tim on his channel Uncutairtime. The name almost says it all: he documents a cross-country flight in and around Bassano del Grappa in great detail and with very few cuts. In the third and final part, his passion for cross-country flying comes to the fore.
The fascination of paragliding
The fascination of paragliding is hard to put into words. The makers of SRF probably thought so and let the pictures speak for themselves. In the 2 x 52-minute unmoderated videos, the various disciplines of paragliding in Switzerland are shown in an impressive video.
Over Iceland
In a no less impressive video showing the breathtaking landscapes of Iceland, flown with a paramotor paraglider. However, the dangers of flying over glaciers are also highlighted.
Paragliding safety training at Lake Idro
This video by Tobi Vaze shows the course of a safety training session at the Achensee flying school. I was there myself in October 2023 and for me it was the (almost) ideal location for training. I think this is a good video to take the fear out of potential safety training candidates.
